Envy
noun
Wanting what someone else has — their success, relationship, ability or life.
How it shows up in the body
A pinch in the chest, comparing, downplaying the other person’s win.
What it is telling you
Envy points directly at something you want. Used well, it is a map; used badly, it becomes resentment.
The urge — and the choice
To tear the other person down. The choice is to learn from them.
One thing to try
Name exactly what you envy. Then name one step toward it that you could take this month.
Practice it: Feelings journal.
